Moto Services

ETTS, a specialist in fuel station technology, was commissioned to upgrade the infrastructure of Moto Services in Swansea. This project aimed to enhance operational efficiency, safety, and data management capabilities at the service station.

Project Objectives:

To upgrade existing fuel pumps to the advanced TOKHEIM Q510 and QFS models.
To implement CAT 5 data cabling for superior data transmission.
To install leak alarms for improved safety measures.
To streamline and modernise power and communication systems.

Outcomes:

Successful installation of advanced TOKHEIM pumps, enhancing fuel dispensing efficiency.
Improved data communication and management with CAT 5 cabling.
Enhanced safety protocols with the installation of leak detection alarms.
Streamlined electrical and communication infrastructure, facilitating easier maintenance and operation.

Conclusion:

The ETTS project at Moto Services in Swansea has markedly improved the service station's infrastructure. This project stands as a testament to ETTS's expertise in fuel station technology upgrades.

Implementation:

Fuel Pumps Upgrade:

- Phase One:
  - Disconnection and replacement of pumps 1/2 and 7/8 with TOKHEIM Q510 models.
- Phase Two:
  - Addressed pumps 3/4, 5/6, 9/10, and 11/12, upgrading to TOKHEIM Q510 models for 3/4 and 5/6.
- Phase Three:
  - Focused on HGV pumps 13/14, 19/20, 21/22, 15/16, 17/18, and 23/24, upgrading to TOKHEIM QFS models.

Data Cabling Installation:

- Laid out CAT 5 data cabling from pumps 1/2, 3/4, and 5/6 to the kiosk for enhanced data management.

Safety Enhancements:

- Installed seven leak alarms within a GRP cabinet for increased safety.
- Implemented metal-clad switch fuse spurs.

Cabling and Power Infrastructure:

- Cables were run through ducts, connecting to the Distribution board with clear labelling at both ends.
- CAT 5 data cables were integrated with the Tank Inventory System (Veeder Root) for efficient monitoring.
